Exploding Lines

In this tutorial you will learn how you can make a beautiful composition with lines "explode". This design can be used everywhere, it is ideal for backgrounds.

1. Open a blank sheet of 500 by 500 pixels. Choose the Gradient Tool.
Click the Options on the gradient. Then choose the colors, 567f0e right and the left adda27. Before you draw the gradient is, choose the option Radial (or around).

2. Pull from the center to a corner of the sheet the gradient.

3. We now have a background. Now the lines are designed. Therefore we take a separate layer (CRTL + SHIFT + N). The lines we first with the Rectangle Tool (U). Choose white as color. Draw a vertical rechtoek in the magazine. This rectangle, we now duplicate, hold Shift + Alt and move the rectangle to the right or left. You can see that Photoshop makes a copy of the form. Repeat this a few times until you get the following result.

4. You can see that the rectangles not regularly on the sheet are divided. Photoshop has a handy tool for doing so, the Distribute tool. Select all layers rectangles and choose the option circled. The layers are regularly distributed.

5. You have the layers of the rectangle still selected, now we first Rasterize (n). In the right mouse menu choose Rasterize Layers. Then add the layers together, still selected press Ctrl + E in.

6. The layers are merged, we will let "explode". This is done by Filter> Distorts> Polar Coordinates. The shape of the layer is changing.

7. Rest us the Blending Mode of the layer to change. In this case we choose Soft Light.
