This is my first go at a Wordpress template. It is also my first time letting Adobe Kuler decide the colors for me. I am pretty happy with the end result.

For doing this your first time, you've definitely done a really good job on it. I'm not a fan of the colours though. But that's just me...
Other than that dude, it looks really good. I suggest you start practicing on doing more & I could see you becoming pro at making themes for Wordpress.

That colour scheme = bad. Especially how you switch between and black and white text on the same element and background colour.
But, I'm loving the concept and shapes you're using. Just keep in mind the general rule for layouts, that at very least you need to make them fit in a 1024px wide screen.
